The romantic thriller Haunted Heart, which hits Greek screens on August 29, stars Matt Dillon and was filmed in Trikeri Pelion.
Starring Matt in the lead roles are Hollywood stars Juan Pablo Urrego and Aida Folch. The film is based on a screenplay by Oscar winner Fernando Trueba, who co-wrote it with Ryland Grant.
The action of the romantic film takes place “on a beautiful isolated island in Greece.” Charming Spanish woman Alex gets a job as a waitress in a seaside restaurant. Literally from the first minute she wins the heart of the charismatic Enrico, but she herself falls in love with the mysterious American Max, who has been living on the island for ten years, a lonely restaurant manager.
Enrico, who is in love with Alex, discovers disturbing clues about Max's dark past. But Alex, blinded by love, ignores these signs, and gradually the romantic story turns into a nightmarish battle for survival.
The film, under the Spanish title “Isla Perdida”, premiered on July 20 at the Atlantis Film Festival, Firstshowing reports. It will be released in Greek cinemas on August 29.and in the UK on September 23 called “The Island”. Signature Entertainment has released the official trailer for “Haunted Heart”.
