Apostolos Christou won the first Greek silver medal in swimming at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The athlete had worked hard for over a decade to achieve great success in the 100-meter swim. His despair knew no bounds when he saw that he was only two hundredths of a second behind his rival.
Nevertheless, Apostolos Christou won a silver medalthe first in pool swimming in the history of the Games, and wrote his name in “golden letters” in the history of Greek sports.
Greece now has a swimming medal!
