They lived happily ever after and died on the same day.

A family from the city of Patras is plunged into double mourning: their loved ones, a woman and her husband, died on the same day, within a few hours of each other.

According to pelop.gr, the first to die was a 65-year-old woman who, feeling ill at home, called an ambulance and was taken to the hospital. A few hours later, her 69-year-old husband died while being treated at the General State City Hospital “Agios Andreas”.

The tragic irony is that the wife took her last breath in the same hospital where her husband was lying, who knew nothing about it (was not informed of his wife's death).

Relatives and friends of the couple are shocked by their death. The farewell will take place at noon on Saturday at the Holy Church of Saint Minas Lefkas II in the cemetery of Patras, where their funeral will take place.
