Building materials prices overall rose 5.4% in June as price increases continued across all individual material categories.
In particular, new prices have been fixed for:
- Bricks (13.1%),
- Copper wires (9.9%),
- Plastic pipes (8%),
- Plastic, synthetic, fibre cement pipes (7.8%),
- Radiators (7.7%),
- Electrical distribution boards (7.3%),
- Switches (7.1%),
- Solar water heaters (7%),
- Protective glass (6.9%),
- Tiles in general – floor, wall (6.2%),
- Cement (5.9%),
- Aluminum frames (5.9%),
- Parquet (5.4%),
- Solutions and ready-mix concrete (5.4%),
- Marble slabs (5.1%),
- Plastic, acrylic, water (4.7%),
- Reinforcement (4.1%) and
- Ready-mix concrete (4%).
Against, In the electric power industry, a 12.2% decrease in prices was recorded.
As reported by ELSTATthe general index of prices for materials for the construction of new residential buildings showed an increase of 5.4% in June 2024 compared with the corresponding index in June 2023, with an increase of 7.6% when comparing the corresponding indices in 2023-2022.
