Responsibility for global digital “chaos”which has emerged around the world today, is being blamed on US technology company Crowdstrike, which allegedly released a security software update that compromises Windows-based devices and causes the so-called “blue screen of death” on computers, the BBC reports.
According to Australian website thenightly.com.au, where the problems first started, a few hours ago, messages poured in from various organizations that the Internet was not working and errors were appearing on computers “blue screen”.
Computer systems also crashed, with machines constantly rebooting. In a message sent to CrowdStrike users, the company said it “There are known reports of errors on Windows servers related to the Falcon sensor.”
Falcon Sensor or Falcon Sensor is a program installed on work computers to collect security data. The question is whether Crowdstrike is actually responsible for the incredible “mess” caused around the world, or is it just a convenient “scapegoat”to hide something else that might cause serious concern.
