A fire on the Proastiakos commuter train caused panic among passengers, but fortunately there were no casualties.
Firefighters arrived immediately after receiving a call about a fire on the train. The fire broke out like reports keeptalkinggreece edition, Monday, July 1 in Achaea, in the western Peloponnese.
Passengers were evacuated from the carriage, no one was hurt. Ten firefighters with four units of equipment participated in extinguishing the fire. Their coordinated work led to the localization of the fire before it spread to the adjacent territory, avoiding the ignition of the green zone.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire. There has been no official statement from Hellenic Train yet.
