Held for the 17th year in a row in Thessaloniki, the International Nudist Cyclist March is a “celebration of the bicycle as a means of transport” and serves the causes of environmental protection, “freedom of the body and self-expression”.
Men and women, more or less naked, mounted bicycles and started the route from the park of Πεδίον του Άρεως to “make a statement” and proclaim the aims of the public event. The bike race was preceded by a body painting event.
International Naked Cycling is an international, self-organized and decentralized movement involving residents of more than 70 cities around the world, and in Greece it has been held in Thessaloniki since 2008. The march is accompanied by concerts and public themed events (the march is regarded as a city holiday).
