Irini Vizirgannakis was the victim of a sea turtle attack and three men rushed to her aid.
The incident occurred in Limeni Mani, a huge turtle not only bit the woman, swimming up from behind, but also began to pull her to the bottom. Hearing calls for help, the men quickly helped Irini get to the shore.
It should be noted: few people believe that an encounter with a sea turtle can become a problem for swimmers, although there is a warning sign on the shore here.
The health center said there have been more than 200 assaults in the five years since 2019. This shows that people should take warnings more seriously when choosing a swimming spot. Swimming at a short distance from the shore and close attention from swimmers is the main advice from experts to avoid such incidents, writes Πρώτο Θέμα.
