Greek Finance Minister Christos Staikouras shared his opinion on the increase in the minimum wage: a bold but realistic increase is possible.
Speaking on the ERT TV channel, he stated:
“I am your official interlocutor. The Minister of Labor recommends to the Cabinet, and the Cabinet decides. We argue that the minimum wage can be increased not only generously, but realistically.”
Mr. Staikouras also recalled writes newsbeast.gr that insurance premiums have already been significantly and permanently reduced by the government. And he stressed that, as Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said, one of the key priorities of the New Democracy for the next four years is to further reduce insurance premiums.
