Belarus: Roman Protasevich was detained, for this they urgently landed an airliner in Minsk

Suddenly, the Ryanair Boeing 737-8AS airliner, flying from Athens to Vilnius, suddenly changed course and urgently landed at the Minsk airport. On board was Roman Protasevich, the former editor-in-chief of the Telegram channel recognized as extremist in Belarus.

The plane did not reach the Lithuanian border for several tens of kilometers, when, allegedly, the pilots informed the ground services about the bomb planted in the liner. The President of Belarus personally gave the order to send the plane for landing at the Minsk airport, although the flight to it was farther than to Vilnius. At the same time, a MiG-29 fighter flew into the sky to escort the Raynair plane to the airport.

As usual, in the end there was no bomb on board, but the oppositionist, who could face the death penalty in his homeland, was “safely” detained. Which is to be expected, since Roman reported that he had noticed that he was being followed, even from the Athens airport.

For those who have forgotten, we will remind you. Roman Protasevich and Stepan Putilo are accused of organizing riots. Criminal cases have been initiated against them under three articles of the Criminal Code: Incitement of racial, national, religious or other social hostility or hatred (part 3 of article 130, up to 12 years in prison), Mass riots (article 293, up to 3 years in prison ), Organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order or active participation in them (Art. 342., up to 2 years in prison). The Investigative Committee of Belarus previously announced the sending of documents to Poland on the extradition of the administrators of the Telegram channel, which was hastened to be recognized as extremist.
