Attiki Odos: "On someone else’s loaf…"

To get 2,000 euros from the government, some enterprising “smarts” are trying to place vehicles on the Attiki Odos. But DIAS is on guard.

According to the Ministry of Citizens’ Protection, the promised compensation of 2,000 euros, which is going to be paid to drivers after the suffering experienced at Attiki Odos, has attracted the attention of scammers. In the Koropi area, there have been cases where some people tried to place their vehicles on a snowy highway in order to also be able to receive compensation money.

But there are cameras on Attiki Odos and DIAS forces are on site to monitor the area. There have been no arrests or detentions in connection with the incidents, but the authorities are conducting constant patrols to prevent this from happening.

At the same time, other types of fraud have become more frequent. The criminals pose as ΔΕΗ technicians who come to repair network damage and break into homes to steal and rob. Be careful and vigilant!
