The Federation of Associations of Professional Producers and Sellers in the Popular Markets of Macedonia-Thessaly-Thrace expresses its disagreement with the introduction of a new regulation – the possibility of delivering products to your home.
“Delivery does not mean modernization,” the union said. On the contrary, the practice of delivering from public markets changes the meaning and philosophy of street trading.
“We want consumers to be personally in open markets! We want citizens to be able to independently choose products on the counters we have installed, find out where this or that product is grown, compare quality and price, and also give preference to specific sellers, ”the statement said.
“We do not want to turn people who visit public markets into buyers of a grocery store, fruit shop, or a supermarket,” the appeal underlines.
Federation officials argue that the delivery concept that the public markets bill wants to pass is some way to “justify” modernizing trade. “
It is noted that some manufacturers (traders) in popular markets, likes, are already accepting telephone orders for home delivery from single-parent families or from those who cannot visit the market themselves (including people with disabilities).
