Shocking police bodycam video shows an African-American woman from Fairfax County, Virginia, attacking him with a knife moments before he shot and killed her.
Shortly after 10 a.m. ET on Sept. 16, a 14-year police officer knocked on the door of 33-year-old Sydney Wilson's Reston apartment to check on her.

The officer identified himself to the woman, indicating his position, but Wilson forcefully closed the door. The officer knocked again, and two minutes later Wilson opened the door and attacked him with a knife. Wilson stabbed the officer in the face several times, after which he pulled out his weapon and retreated into the hallway. The officer fired three shots and yelled into his radio that he needed help.
Reston Police Chief Kevin Davis said the unnamed officer did his best to de-escalate the situation but was unable to retreat further down the hallway when he opened fire. “Things could have been much, much, much worse,” he said. – The knife wound was on the forehead.”
The video was released by police today, but the incident happened a month ago. The post received hundreds of thousands of views and the main message of commentators was the phrase – if not for the BLM topic, the officer would have thought less before shooting.
