Weather conditions are expected to worsen in the coming days. According to EMY, this is due to the approach of Cyclone Kassandra.
From the afternoon of October 4 to the evening of October 5, precipitation and increased wind are expected in some regions of the country. This will especially affect the western and northeastern regions of Greece.
On Friday afternoon, rain and storms will affect the northern Ionian Sea. They will then spread to Epirus, the other Ionian Islands, western Sterea and the northwestern Peloponnese. There may be some precipitation overnight in western Thessaly. By nightfall, weather conditions are expected to weaken in the northwest.
On Saturday, October 5, from early morning to midday, showers and thunderstorms will affect the western part of the mainland and the western Peloponnese. Then, from midday to evening, they will affect eastern Macedonia, Thrace and the islands in the northeastern Aegean Sea.
