Police from the ΔΙ.ΑΣ group arrested an Albanian man who was allegedly carrying a bag of military equipment.
It all reportedly happened when police saw a man moving along Afanasy Bosdy Street in Menidi. They found him suspicious and wanted to check him out.
At the sight of the police, the man rushed to run, throwing a bag on the ground, which, as it turned out later, contained two grenades, four detonators, and 50 rounds of ammunition.
The man failed to escape from the motorcyclists; the fugitive was detained.
The case is being investigated by the Western Attica Security Directorate.
