Israeli airstrikes on oil tanks in Yemen (video)

The IDF said dozens of Israeli planes carried out strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen in retaliation for the attack on Israel.

The target of the blows writes Euronews, steel power plants and oil tanks in the port of Hodeidah. The Israeli army said the attack was in response to Houthi attacks on Ben Gurion Airport on Saturday, September 28. They occurred at the moment when the plane of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived there.

At least four people were killed and 33 others were wounded in the Israeli strikes, the Houthi-controlled al-Masirah television channel reported. They touched the port of Ras Isa and two power plants in Hodeidah province. Speaking to troops in Tel Aviv, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the strikes were “impressive”:

“We are not interested in expanding the war, we are not interested in finding additional fronts, but if someone attacks Israel, as the Houthis have done recently with missiles and throughout the war with cruise missiles and drones, anyone who does such a thing will attack, we will deal with it, and we know how to do it.”

The Houthis responded by saying they had taken precautions and IDF strikes will not stop their attacks on sea lanes and Israel.

On Saturday The Houthis launched a ballistic missile attack on Israel's Ben Gurion Airport as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived there on a flight from the United States.

Since November last year the group regularly attacks ships in the Red Seawhich, in her opinion, are associated with Israel. At the same time, many vessels that were targeted attackshave nothing to do with this country. Major General Tom Bar, commander of the Israeli Air Force, stated:

“We will reach anyone who harms or attempts to harm the citizens of the State of Israel in the simplest possible way, and we will take all necessary measures using all the capabilities available to us, and we have many more opportunities to deepen and widen the strikes.”
