Serious incidents occurred on Saturday evening (September 21) at the festival in Korydalos, during which three people, a minor and two deputy mayors of the city were injured.
For some unknown reason, public festivities turned into a battlefieldchairs were “flying”, and physical violence ensued. During the fight, an unknown person took a gold chain from the neck of one of the mayor's deputies.
A 16-year-old teenager who was among the victims was taken to Attica Hospital with head injuries from punches. The woman, who lost consciousness during the incident, was taken to the same hospital.
The authorities are establishing the identities of the offenders and the nature of the problem that caused the mass unrest.
