Mitsotakis met with the Evzon, who "touched" hearts of the nation

Kyriakos Mitsotakis welcomed an evzone (a soldier of the honor guard who guards the government building on Syntagma Square) into his office. This is the guy who “broke into tears” at his last service, touching people's hearts.

«During my service I thought about everything I had been through. My last service in the guard was very emotional.” said Georgios Tsioulos, who served as an evzone, adding: “I cried because I knew I wouldn't have a chance to do it again (to be in office)“.

The young man was received by the Prime Minister in his office. After which Mr Mitsotakis wrote in a post on social media that “Georgios' tears during his last watch as Evzone touched us and filled our hearts with pride! This is the Greece we want to see“.
