Cihat Yayci, a retired rear admiral known for his views, made a statement on the matter, saying: “That's the end of the story… The Greek coast guard approaches the houses in Bodrum Akyarlar, almost close to the land, and pursues a Turkish fisherman in Turkish waters… Remove this disgrace if you can…”, – he said.

The Greek Coast Guard followed the boat in Bodrum and approached within 50 meters of the shore of Akcabük Bay.

It should be noted that the Greek Coast Guard boat pursued a Turkish human trafficker on a holiday, after a smuggler dropped off an unknown number of migrants on one of the islands.
