Drivers travelling from Thessaloniki to Kavala came face to face with a smuggler who was speeding along Egnatia Odos, pursued by police cars.
As reported by eevros.gr, the crazy driver literally “broke through” the toll booths and continued on towards Thessaloniki. According to the same source, travelers from Alexandroupolis complained that “the toll situation was not resolved as required.” And although they were informed that the car was driving in the opposite lane and they were forced to “pull over” to the right side of the road, to the side of the road, other officials urged the cars to move on, which could have resulted in a major accident.
