Weather forecast: no particular heat until August 15

According to the channel's meteorologist OpenClearchos Marousakis, at least until August 15 there will be no particular heat in Greece, except for some locally high temperatures in certain areas.

Heat and afternoon showers, mainly in mountainous and foothill areas, make up the weather picture for today, Tuesday, August 6. A moderate north wind is expected, and the thermometer will drop slightly and approach +35-36°C. However, with the onset of night, the humidity will increase significantly.

According to the meteorologist, the heat waves that plagued us last month are not likely to bother us until at least August 15. However, inland areas will see locally high temperatures.

Where it will be hot. In Agrinio and Larissa the air temperature will reach +36°C, in Veria and Serres +35°C, and in Soufli and Ioannina +34°C.

In Thebes it will also be +36°C, in Aegion +34-36°C, and in Astros +35°C.

Weather in Attica and Thessaloniki

Nothing remarkable is expected in Attica, sunny weather will prevail, with some cloudiness expected towards evening. Air temperature +35°C.

In Thessaloniki the day started with good weather conditions, later cloudiness is expected, and in the mountainous and foothill areas showers are possible. The thermometer will show up to +36°C.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 7/08, there will be showers, Thursday will be a similar day, and from Friday onwards it seems that the weather instability will be limited and the wind (meltemi) will increase.

ATTICA
Weather: generally clear. Partly cloudy from midday to afternoon. Local rain possible in western and northern areas (highlands).
Wind: variable from 3 to 4, in the east-north up to 5 points on the Beaufort scale.
Air temperature: from +24 to +37°С.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: Generally clear. Clouds will be present in the afternoon and afternoon, with localized showers and possible thunderstorms in the surrounding mountains.
Wind: variable from 3 to 4 points on the Beaufort scale.
Air temperature: from +24 to +36°С.
