White sand, turquoise water and cypress trees reaching right to the shore – this is what one of the best beaches looks like according to Banana Boat.
Voutoumi Beach is included in the list of the best beaches in the world. Every year Banana Boat presents the 50 best beaches in the world (The World's 50 Best Beaches). The list is made up of thousands of professionally taken photos of beaches from all over the world.
According to this year's list published by Forbes, Trunk Ba in the US Virgin Islands is in first place, with Voutoumi in Antipaxos in fifth place. The beach is only 20 minutes from Paxos and can only be reached by boat.
The magic of this beach is immediately felt if you start descending to it from above, from the green hills that provide cool shade, and for a moment look down at the crystal clear sea and the yachts moored in the open bay. It seems as if they are “hanging in the air”, so clear are the waters of the sea.
In addition, the white sand that covers the bottom is amazing and allows you to easily observe all the beauty of the sea inhabitants without a mask and even without diving. You can also get to the wonderful bay by boat directly from Paxos and return back in a few hours, since the place with the “best beach” does not have any infrastructure for accommodation.
