In Germany, a tank fired on the highway

While “passing” along the highway to military exercises in Germany, a tank accidentally started… shooting.

How reports Spiegel, citing police data, says not everything went smoothly – a civilian car was targeted.

An emergency occurred in Bavaria. A whole column of military equipment was moving along the federal highway towards the city of Passau, and one of the tanks fired several shots. It’s a good thing the shells were blanks and the barrel was pointed upwards.

But the shells still hit a civilian car driven by a 32-year-old woman. It is hard to imagine what she experienced at that moment…

The Passau prosecutor's office will be involved in the investigation of the incident, the publication writes.
