Fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev's son Yegor has died


The only heir of the world-famous fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev died, having survived his father by only a year.

The 64-year-old man died in hospital from complications due to oncology on June 19. Shortly before his death, Yegor Zaitsev said that he wanted to open a museum of his father in a mansion in Kablukovo, but, unfortunately, life decided otherwise, and he did not have time to do this. Yegor Zaitsev was buried on June 22 in the Moscow region city of Shchyolkovo.

Slava (Vyacheslav Mikhailovich) Zaitsev is a Russian fashion designer, a native of Ivanovo, and a graduate of the Moscow Textile Institute. Sketches of the first collection he created for the experimental-technical sewing factory of the Moscow Regional Economic Council were published in Paris Match magazine, thanks to which Zaitsev became known abroad. He worked at the Fashion House on Kuznetsky Most and managed the custom-made sewing factory No. 19.

He died on April 30, 2023, at the age of 86, in the Shchyolkovskaya City Hospital, where he was admitted with internal bleeding due to a stomach ulcer.
