Fire broke out shortly before 08:00 a.m. at a site where bitumen is produced. A large fire brigade has arrived at the scene and is working to extinguish the fire.
It is noted that after the fire started, according to eyewitnesses, explosions followed, as there were flammable materials at the construction site.

Meanwhile, the death has been reported as a 52-year-old tar machine operator who appears to have been trapped in the flames and was found charred inside a container on a construction site, according to agrinionnews. Another worker is listed as missing.
Fifteen firefighters with six engines are working to extinguish the fire. Police are also present at the scene, and vehicles are prohibited from traveling to and from the scene.
