ΕΛΣΤΑΤ announced today, June 21, the general price index for building materials for new residential buildings for May 2024.
The general price index for materials for the construction of new residential buildings (with the base year 2021 taken as “100.0”) and the base month of May 2024 compared with the corresponding index of May 2023 showed an increase of 5.5% compared to an increase of 7 .8% was recorded when comparing the corresponding indicators for 2023 with 2022.
The overall index for May 2024 compared to the April 2024 index showed an increase of 0.5%, compared with a 0.6% increase recorded when comparing the corresponding months of 2023.
Twelve month average June 2023 – May 2024, compared to the corresponding figure for June 2022 – May 2023, showed an increase of 6.2% compared to a growth of 10.8% recorded when comparing the corresponding previous twelve months .
