The phenomenon of domestic violence has reached epidemic proportions: defenseless women are subjected to sophisticated torture, suffering from abusive partners, while the state “turns a blind eye” and uses ineffective methods of protection.
This time, authorities were called in to deal with a shocking incident in Alexandroupolis in which a man struck his partner and then did not hesitate to douse her with chlorine liquid.
It all started when the woman was forcibly taken to the apartment that her partner had pointed out to her. After she left the bathroom, the fanatic struck her several times and doused her with a caustic liquid, as a result of which the victim was immediately taken to the University Hospital of Alexandroupolis.
The facility's nurses informed the authorities and the alarm was immediately raised to find the culprit. The police “combed” the area and finally managed to find the scoundrel and handcuff him. A criminal case has been filed against the man. He is expected to appear before the competent prosecutor.
