An unusual robbery took place in the Principality of Monaco – the criminal pretended to be an old man and, threatening with a weapon, robbed a luxury boutique.
The value of the stolen items is estimated at several million. Dressed as an old man, the robber did not arouse suspicion and, taking advantage of this, managed, with the help of an accomplice, to remove all the valuables available.
The incident occurred last Tuesday at 10:30 am. Two men rode up on a scooter to the Monaco Watch Company on Avenue Moulin. A man disguised as an old man burst into the store, and the subsequent events were shown in detail by a surveillance camera.
The robber, who turned into a grandfather for the robbery, entered the store holding a cane in his left hand and with a bag slung over his right shoulder. He walked straight to the counter where the saleswoman was sitting, reached into his bag and pulled out a gun…
Having filled the bag with luxury items, the robber sprayed the area with a special substance to erase the slightest traces of DNA, and calmly left the store. The robbery lasted 7 minutes and 31 seconds, writes CNN Greece. The authorities are trying, so far in vain, to get on the trail of the daring robbers.
The total amount of the loot is still being calculated, but according to some sources, such as Monaco Matin, it could be 3 million euros. writes Monaco Tribune.
