An Afghan man attacked a girl in Erma – he hit her in the face and carotid artery

An Afghan man attacked a girl for no apparent reason in the middle of the day in central Athens, on Ermou Street. According to the first information, he struck her several times in the face and in the carotid artery.

According to people at the scene, the man – possibly under the influence of drugs – attacked the girl, hitting her in the neck and face, without showing any intention of robbing her. It should be noted that the girl, who was on a shopping street with her companion, had a panic attack and lost consciousness after the attack, and the sellers rushed to help her recover from the shock.

A passerby who saw the scene took her to the stairs to sit down and calm down. Four police officers from the ΔΙ.ΑΣ team arrived on the scene on 2 motorcycles and began searching for the criminal, who, as it turned out, did not even have time to leave the area. He did not resist arrest and the police took him first to the Acropolis police station and then to the psychiatric hospital in Daphne.

It is known that the young man arrived in Greece through Turkey in 2016 as a refugee. This is another case of violence against a foreigner that occurred in the same place.

A foreigner stabbed a woman to death on Ermou Street in the center of Athens

Recall that in early March, a 32-year-old man from Iraq stabbed a 22-year-old woman, who was going to work, also on Ermu Street. He stabbed her twice in the shoulder blade, very close to the heart, causing profuse bleeding and putting her life in danger.
