On Saturday morning, two robbers, believed to be foreigners, broke into a house located in Doris (Arcadia).
So that they would not be disturbed in their search for valuables, they beat three elderly people in the house and tied them up, and then got to work. Fortunately, they did not manage to get far with the 19 thousand euros and valuables found in the house. With the assistance of ΔΙΑΣ and the residents of Doriza, the Tripoli police arrested both criminals and returned the stolen goods to the owners, writes CNN Greece.
Two foreigners, aged 45 and 46, an Albanian and a Skopian, were arrested for the robbery. During a search of their vehicle, the following were found and seized:
- pistol (replica),
- fake ID from Croatian authorities,
- fake driving license from Croatian authorities,
- 4 mobile phones,
- insulation tapes, zip ties and burglary tools.
A 45-year-old man, who was previously known to the police, has been charged with participation in a criminal organization, robbery, forgery of documents, forgery of identification, theft, violation of the weapons law and – depending on the circumstances – violation of the Criminal Code law on prisoner escape – it was established that the detainee, starting from January 25, 2024, violated the terms of the permit issued to him by the police.
During the preliminary investigation, it turned out that the criminals arrived at the scene of the robbery in a rented car, installing license plates on it that were stolen on May 10, 2024 from the Tripoli Security Department.
