Police officers from the Property Crimes Unit of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate solved a theft of property worth approximately €550,000 that took place in April 2023 from a detached house in Panorama, identifying the perpetrator as a 33-year-old man who was charged with grand theft. .
The man, along with three accomplices, entered the house, from where he took out a safe with gold pounds, jewelry and valuables, the total value of which is about 550,000 euros.
During a search conducted in the criminal's house in the Tumba district, the following were discovered and seized:
- a sum of money of 1800 euros,
- padlock and door lock cylinders together with keys, suitable for training burglars,
- many special tools for hacking,
- 1 portable transceiver,
- 18 mobile phones,
- several electronic devices (USB and hard drives) whose legal ownership is under investigation,
- 1 personal car used by criminals to drive to and from the victims’ home.
It is noted that the criminal is known in cases of counterfeiting and drugs, the case materials have been transferred to the competent prosecutor.
