Representatives of which professions must install POS by April 1

Professions related to 35 sectors of the Greek economywhich did not have terminals for accepting cards, must acquire POS terminals before April 1.

These include farmers’ markets and outdoor retail, kiosks, convenience stores and convenience stores, taxis, real estate agents, advertising and public relations agencies, and theaters and cinemas.

By law, they must all have already ordered the POS (the deadline to order is February 29), and if they have submitted a supply request but are awaiting installation, the deadline for compliance may be extended until March 31. The fine for those who refuse is 1,500 euros.

We would like to remind you that following the recent announcement of an extension of the deadline to complete the POS to cash register connection project without technical issues, the relevant deadlines are as follows: By March 31, those businesses that have not yet connected their systems must contact authorized cash register installation technicians to complete this process. It should be noted that this period can be extended for another month, i.e. until April 30:

  • For businesses that were unable to find an available appointment in March but scheduled an appointment with an installation technician in April. Appointments must be registered on a special platform that will be created by AADE in the second 15 days of March.
  • For businesses that register with the cash register that they are going to replace their cash register system with one of the new all-in-one solutions available that do not require any additional setup steps.
