Online platform A21 – Child benefit opens on Monday February 26, 2024. The platform will remain open and accept new applications until March 11 at 18.00.
It will be temporarily closed on March 29/3 at 08.00 to process applications and settle payments for the first two months of 2024. Recipients of child benefit can apply on the HICC platform, www.idika.gr or on the website www.opeka.grusing your personal Taxisnet passwords.
The benefit amount will be calculated based on the number of dependent children claimed on the A21 application for 2024 and the total household income that benefit recipients had in the 2022 tax year. Once you file your current year income tax return, income for the 2023 tax year will be taken into account when calculating your benefit amount.
It should be noted that among the conditions that will be checked for receiving the benefit is the attendance of dependent children in compulsory education – from kindergarten to secondary school, as well as the sufficiency of attendance. On the A21 application form they must be indicated in the appropriate fields:
- information about the school division,
- class and registration number of the child attending compulsory school.
If all student details have been verified, the application can be submitted as usual. If they are not verified, a flag appears and the applicant is asked to attach the required supporting documents to the online Form A21.
In order for an application to be completed, it must be finally submitted and approved. An application that has been temporarily saved is considered unsubmitted and will not be considered.
