Cretan breaks Guinness record

The Guinness Book record for the number of push-ups on medicine balls in one minute was set by a resident of Crete, who managed to perform the exercise 100 times.

The achievement of athlete Georgios Kotsibos is unprecedented and a major milestone in the field of fitness. Doing 100 push-ups on the floor in one minute is a feat that only elite athletes can achieve. But try doing this with 5-kilogram medicine balls!

According to cretapost.gr, Kotzibos prepared for this achievement for months, doing grueling training every day. In addition, he followed a strict diet, which helped him maintain the necessary muscle mass.
Kotzibos is an experienced and talented athlete with an extensive career in the fitness industry. He previously broke three more Guinness World Records for the most hand push-ups in one minute in 2020 and the most tandem push-ups in 2022 and 2023, along with teammate Apostolos Dervas.

Georgios had previously been injured in an accident and had undergone several operations on the tendons of his right arm, as well as his biceps and shoulder. He had to go through a difficult recovery period, after which he managed to set his records.

The world record holder lives and works in Heraklion, Crete. He trains at the Pagration Fitness training center of Kostas Voulgarides. It is worth noting that Kotsibos is an amateur athlete, not a professional.
