Ukraine launched a massive missile strike on Belgorod

The Ukrainian army launched new missile attacks on the Russian city of Belgorod, killing 14 people, including two children, another 108, including 15 children, were injured.

Belgorod is located 40 km from the border with Ukraine.

The regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said that several districts of the city were under attack and “residents should remain in shelters, because the danger has not yet passed.”

“The Ukrainian Armed Forces shelled the center of Belgorod. According to preliminary information, there are two dead children and wounded,” – he wrote on Telegram.

Statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense on the Ukrainian attack on Belgorod:

• the strike was carried out indiscriminately by two Vilkha missiles with cluster charges, as well as Czech Vampire MLRS missiles;
• Alder missiles and most of the Vampire shells were intercepted by air defense systems. Several munitions and cluster parts from downed missiles hit the city;
• the Kiev regime, which committed this crime, is trying to divert attention from defeats at the front;
• The Russian Armed Forces operate only on military installations and directly related infrastructure. The crime of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not go unpunished.

At least 20 explosions were recorded in the city

What is known about the tragedy:

• According to updated information, two children were among the dead;
• four children wounded during the shelling are in intensive care in serious condition, a total of 17 minors were injured, Ombudsman Lvova-Belova reported;
• Residential buildings near the epicenter, cars and the local shopping center were heavily damaged;
• Putin was informed about the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on residential areas of the city; on his instructions, a brigade from the Ministry of Health headed by Murashko flew to Belgorod;
• The Ministry of Emergency Situations extinguished ten fires that started after shelling of civilian infrastructure;

The RT TV channel reports that as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack, 12 people were killed and more than 100 were injured. Russia requested a UN Security Council meeting in connection with the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Belgorod – Russian Foreign Ministry.

Maria Zakharova said that Britain was behind the terrorist attack in Belgorod, which, in coordination with the United States, incites the Kiev regime to terrorist actions, reported in tg channel RT.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also shelled residential buildings in the village of Suzemka, said the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz. One woman was injured. 11 houses, an administrative building and several cars were partially damaged, and the power supply in the village was disrupted. Similar attacks on populated areas are reported from other populated areas in the Bryansk region.
