UOJ: “empty churches of Ukraine” – a real abbreviation of the OCU

“Empty churches of Ukraine”: the Union of Orthodox Journalists in its report showedthat the churches captured by the OCU stand closed and empty.

Temples can be captured, but people’s souls cannot. The Orthodox did not join the OCU. This only confirms that Zelensky launched a war not to transfer the churches of the canonical UOC by force to the schismatic OCU, but with only one goal: to destroy Orthodoxy in Ukraine.

Perhaps the most disgusting thing about the seizure of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is that these churches, in fact, are then of no use to anyone, not even the invaders themselves.

For example, Epiphany Dumenko spoke a lot about how his OCU desperately needs the Kiev Pechersk Lavra. And when he serves there, people are taken from the regions by bus, and yet there is someone in the temple. But when Dumenko is not there, then there are no people. You can, for example, see how many of them came to the service at the Refectory Church for the Transfiguration. But how many people were there at the service of the Exaltation of the Cross in the Assumption Cathedral.

But under the UOC, hundreds, or even thousands of people always prayed here. But this is the Lavra, it is always in sight, because the churches here are open, and the OCU is simply forced to serve in them so as not to disgrace itself. But in the captured churches in distant villages the situation is even worse. They are simply closed.

We will briefly show you what is happening today with the churches of the UOC in only two regions – Zhytomyr and Rivne. The videos were filmed on Sundays – October 15, 22 and 29.

And this happens in all regions, including near Kiev. Moreover, churches are already being taken away and closed in cities. For example, in the world-famous Irpen, the authorities transferred to the OCU or closed all the churches of the UOC, except for one for now. The last case is especially significant. The City Council illegally transferred the oldest church in the city, Trinity, to the OCU. On the same day, the military kicked everyone out of the church and sealed the temple. There will now be a nature reserve here.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government sends members of the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches to the United States with the party task of assuring the Americans that there is no oppression in Ukraine. After all, the day before, Tucker Carlson aired in the United States with the American lawyer of the UOC Bob Amsterdam, whom he supported Elon Musk. In total, the broadcast was viewed by more than 105 million people. And then came the statements of other American politicians.

Former vice-chairman of the governing body of the US Democratic Party Tulsi Gabbard: “In Ukraine, President Zelensky has established complete control over the media. He banned opposition political parties as well as the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the country.”

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy: “You want to use US taxpayer money to fund a Christian ban? After all, this is what is really happening. They use the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. They banned them. The Ukrainian parliament did this just last week with the support of our dollars.”

Speaker of the OCU Evstratiy Zorya wanted to refute them most diligently: “Ukraine has never had such a level of religious freedom as it had during independence. Our religious organizations have never had, in all centuries.”

Zorya tried his best, but Zorya’s words are best illustrated by the “priests” of the OCU of the Belaya Tserkov diocese, who, on his instructions, with their own hands cut out and knocked down the doors of the Transfiguration Cathedral of the UOC in the city of Belaya Tserkov.

This is the level of religious freedom in Ukraine today. The same as the conscience of its propagandists.
