Egypt offered to send Palestinians to Europe. Greece already agrees

Arab countries, despite their solidarity with the Palestinians, do not want to accept them, offering to send them to… Europe.

Cairo is “angry” over Western pressure to open crossings for Palestinian refugees ahead of an Israeli offensive and fears it will be forced to accept a flood of refugees into the Sinai Peninsula, the Financial Times reports.

Egypt’s Foreign Minister said that “forced displacement” is not a solution to the Palestinian crisis. “You want us to take a million people? Well, I’m going to send them to Europe. You care so much about human rights – well, accept them.”

King Abdullah II of Jordan, who was on a visit to Berlin, responded similarly. stated at a press conference that his kingdom would also not accept Palestinian refugees. Do you think Qatar and Saudi Arabia will accept it? And there’s no need, Europe is ready to accept it, that’s obvious.

The Immigration Minister explained that this particular plan for 300,000 illegal immigrants is aimed at reducing severe labor shortages in agriculture, tourism and construction, and it will not encourage illegal immigration, but will “increase government revenue through taxes and employment contributions, and will help address severe labor shortages in certain sectors.”
