Russia plans to create a naval base on the territory of Abkhazia, an agreement has already been signed.
This was reported by the leader of the unrecognized region, Aslan Bzhania, after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in comments newspaper “Izvestia”:
“We have signed an agreement, and in the near future there will be a permanent base for the Russian Navy in the Ochamchira region… This is all aimed at increasing the level of defense capability of both Russia and Abkhazia, and such interaction will continue.”
Bzhania also noted: “There are things that I cannot talk about.” And he stated that the current leaders of Georgia “are pragmatic people.”
Previously, British intelligence reported the impossibility of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to have the same control as before in the Black Sea after a series of successful Ukrainian strikes. The UK Ministry of Defense believes writes “European truth” that the Ukrainian Armed Forces actually managed to defeat the Russian fleet in the Black Sea due to constant attacks.
