On Sunday, September 10, 5 days after the devastating Hurricane Daniel hit the area, a farming couple was taken to the police station where they were held in custody. It all started when a construction vehicle from the municipality of Lamia headed to the livestock block this morning to reach another point in the same area for restoration work.

Traffic obstruction complaint and arrest were caught on camera

The owners, who they said had been desperately asking for help for several days, did not allow the car to pass, citing a document confirming that the lane through which the car should pass was a private territory that was part of their property.

Following the tension, the deputy mayor was alerted, and then the traffic police arrived at the scene to arrest the farmer on charges of obstructing traffic.
