Some citizens tried to restrain the rest, who threw various objects and bottles of water at the governor and his entourage.

A police squad arrived at the scene and ensured the evacuation of the governor.

Local residents said they would sue anyone responsible for the botched flood control work that destroyed their homes, killed their livestock, and virtually destroyed Palamas’ agriculture and infrastructure, not to mention human lives as people were evacuated. is still ongoing, and it is unknown how many people actually died.

According to official information from Civil Protection, currently missing sevenand the total number of deaths (remained yesterday) is 10.

Present-day Thessaly has turned into a huge plain filled with water and once again clearly demonstrates that the state mechanism is not able to cope with its responsibilities.
