Housewife’s Basket program extended until the end of 2023

The Housewife’s Basket program will be extended until December 31, 2023, the Ministry of Development announced on Friday. The measure was to end on June 30.

Program “Housewife’s basket” was seen as a measure to keep the prices of basic foodstuffs and products that provide basic needs under relative control.

At the same time, the measure that sets the maximum rate of return for companies will also be extended until December 31, 2023. It concerns companies trading in basic consumer goods and fuels to combat unfair profit-making at the expense of consumers.
