A new round of Family Basket payments for intangible digital card beneficiaries begins today and will close next Tuesday.
The Greek Ministry of Finance has given the green light for the penultimate tranche of €24 million to 645,000 program beneficiaries. The rest, who decided to deposit money into a bank account, have already received the full amount of the subsidy.
Beneficiaries who have not been disbursed to date due to an incorrect IBAN will also receive backdated aid amounts. These households received an email asking them to correct their IVAN details because their application was approved but the payment could not be made.
Despite slowing inflation (but not in the grocery sector), Market Pass renewal is expected to be on the table new government by the end of the yearto compensate for the loss of household income. And given that the replenishment data shows that there is room available for social programs to help the population, most likely the program will continue.
The question is whether the new market pass will be issued to all current beneficiaries or whether the income criteria will be changed and it will be given only to vulnerable households.
Recall that the amount of assistance is 10% of the monthly amount of purchases: 220 euros for a household consisting of one member, plus 100 euros for each additional family member. The maximum purchase limit is 1000 euros.
