Greek on the list "Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2023"


The Greek co-founder’s Singapore-based startup has raised $1 million in seed funding.

A Greek woman is included in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2023 list. This is Angelina Terlakis, who has made a name for herself in the enterprise technology sector. According to Capital.gr, Ms. Terlakis is working with Calvin Sun and Prof. Wen Yonggang (both over 30 years old) on the issue applications artificial intelligence to reduce CO2 emissions.

Her Singaporean startup Red Dot Analytics creates digital copies of infrastructure, including airports, data centers and electrical networks. It then analyzes the virtual model and suggests optimizations to make it run more green.

Red Dot Analytics has raised $1 million in seed funding from investors including ADB Ventures.

Angelina Terlakis started her entrepreneurial journey while studying at the Faculty of Management Sciences and Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business in Greece. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she decided to move to Singapore and pursue her postgraduate studies in techno-entrepreneurship and innovation at Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

During her time at NTU, she participated in the UC Berkeley Innovation Program, deepening your understanding of entrepreneurship on different continents.

At the time of receipt master’s degree At NTU, Ms. Terlakis worked in the Cloud Applications and Platforms (CAP) Lab with Prof. Yungang Wen, and played a key role in user experience research and product development for various high-tech projects.

One of the projects she worked on showed great potential to fill a gap in the market, prompting Angelina Terlakis to turn it into a startup.

Thus, she became one of the co-founders of Red Dot Analytics. In particular undertook fundraising efforts for the company that were successful.

In 2022, Ms. Terlakis led the RDA to participate in the prestigious Singaporean Sustainability Challenge, The Liveability Challenge, organized by the Temasek Foundation. RDA became one of the finalists.

Representing the RDA, the young specialist made it to the finals of the Seagate Innovator of the Year award. The project was recognized as one of the top 8 startups among over 100. In the same year, she attended Asia Impact Nights in South Korea, an exclusive event dedicated to the transformational potential of startups and investors in creating sustainable change in their respective markets and the world at large.

It is noted that Angelina, together with her team, qualified for the Ja Start Up 2019 competition with the Safe Seas digital idea, which she developed in the Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship course taught by Professor Georgios Doukidis.
