Weather Forecast: Caution, Mud Rain

Renowned meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglu warns that cloudiness is expected today due to African dust, and in some places mud rains and showers.

According to the meteorologist, almost all over the country will be cloudy from Tuesday morning, especially in the west/southwest, where rains, combined with African dust, will turn into mud showers. Possible local storms in the Ionian Sea.

By noon, the phenomena will move east and affect the mountainous regions of the Peloponnese, northern Steria, western and northwestern regions of Thessaly, western and central Macedonia.

In the afternoon, the weather in the west will improve. In the mountainous regions of Epirus, Thessaly, northern Steria and the Peloponnese, short-term showers or local storms are possible. Mud showers in the afternoon will affect eastern Peloponnese, eastern Sterea, Evia, Cyclades, Crete, Central and Eastern Macedonia.

In Attica gradually increasing cloudiness and mud showers are expected, mainly in the midday hours. Northwest wind force 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, temperature 18-25°C.

In Thessaloniki and Central Macedonia cloudy in the morning with light mud showers until noon. Wind from 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, air temperature will fluctuate from 13°С to 20°С.
