Died fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin


Fashion designer, Honored Art Worker of Russia Valentin Yudashkin died at the age of 60. This was reported on May 2 by the Russian media.

In recent years, he struggled with a serious illness – cancer.

Valentin Yudashkin was born on October 14, 1963 in the Moscow region. In 1991, he became the first Russian designer to show his collection at Paris Fashion Week. Then his shows were successfully held in Italy, Israel, the USA – Yudashkin became famous all over the world.

In 1994 and 1996, the designer created costumes for the Russian Olympic team, in 1999 – for the women’s and men’s football teams.

In 2012, he became a confidant of Vladimir Putin. In the same year, he took over as president of the Dance Sports Union of Russia, and then became the editor-in-chief of the Style and Fashion TV channel. He had the title of People’s Artist and Honored Artist of Russia.

Yudashkin’s works are kept in the Louvre Costume Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the California Fashion Museum, the State Historical Museum in Moscow, and the International Museum of the Olympic Games.

Recall that two days earlier, on April 30, on 86th year of life died Soviet and Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev. Fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin on this mournful day named colleague a great artist.
