"Wife has a cat phobia"so the man threw the cat from an 8-meter height

In Hydra, a 55-year-old man threw a cat from a height of eight meters, he was detained and will be taken to the prosecutor.

“I pushed her because she climbed onto my plate,” the detainee says. The incident took place in a restaurant where he and his wife were having lunch. The man tried to justify his act to the staff of the Hydra police station, stating that he had no intention of harming the unfortunate four-legged creature. Allegedly, after the usual push, the animal lost its balance and fell from a height, having injured its muzzle.

A pair of Athenian tourists who were unwitting witnesses of the incident saw the cat land at their feet and testified to the police that the man not only admitted that he had pushed the cat into the void, but also reacted to this in a particularly ironic and provocative manner: “He said: ” I threw it away, is that a problem for you?”.

A woman sitting at a man’s table in a restaurant claims he didn’t mean to harm the animal and was surprised when he saw it climb onto the table: “He reacted because ‘his wife had a phobia of cats’.”

The incident was first noticed by a woman when the kitten suddenly “exploded” at her feet. From the strongest blow, the sidewalk was covered with blood. Then she and two other witnesses went to the police station to report the incident. The police arrested the perpetrator, and a case has been opened against him.

Currently, the whereabouts of the affected cat – not a stray, but with an owner – has not been established. It is not known where she is or what her condition is. It is noted that cameras were installed in the restaurant where the incident occurred, which probably recorded the actions of the detainee, writes CNN Greece.
