Tolls on the Attiki Odos highway will be reduced

Under the new concession agreement, the toll on the Attiki Odos highway will be reduced from 2.80 euros to 2.50.

The agreement, which has been approved by the board of directors of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED) and sent to the Ministries of Finance and Infrastructure for comment, stipulates that the toll will remain unchanged for the next five years, after which the contractor may request a revision with reasons.

Comments are expected no later than 10 days, while the Ministry of Infrastructure has already given its consent.

According to media reports, the date for the submission of mandatory proposals is planned to be moved to the first 15 days of July, a delay will be granted, since the current date of May 29, a week after the first election, is considered not the most ideal. It is also likely that by this time not all the necessary procedures (and approvals) will be completed.

PS Unfortunately, no one will solve the issue of the fares on the Athens-Thessaloniki road that have risen by 2 times over the past 5 years.
