The international human rights organization “Save the Children” (“Save the Children”) has published a report on Ukrainian children.
Since the start of the war in February 2022, an average of four children have been killed or injured every day. The organization notes that these are approximate figures, the actual number of affected children may be much higher.
According to “Save the Children“, as a result of hostilities, more than 4 million Ukrainian children need humanitarian assistance. Their lives have had a huge negative impact on constant shelling from the Russian Federation, the report notes. Since February last year, children have spent an average of about 920 hours in shelters – more Inger Ashing, CEO of Save the Children, said:
“Being locked up underground for so long is a terrible experience that no child should go through.”
