Greek prime minister tests positive for coronavirus

“I will be isolated at home and work from there,” said Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who has been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

In an Instagram video, the head of the Greek government announced that he is going into isolation, continuing his professional duties from home. He recalled the vaccination against coronavirus and expressed hope for a mild and rapid course of the disease:

“I tested positive for Covid-19 in my daily rapid test at the office today. Therefore, I will be isolated in my house and work from there. I want you to remember that triple vaccination provides the best possible protection against serious diseases. I’m sure everything will be fine and I’ll be back in the office very soon.”

According to official information, before traveling to Turkey meeting with Erdogan the prime minister did a PCR test on Saturday, it was negative. The Turkish president suffered coronavirus not so long ago, after returning from Ukraine, reports newsbeast.gr.
