Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu reacted sharply to a message on the social network of Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.
The head of the Greek Foreign Ministry wrote on Twitter, as quoted by the Daily Sabah, that Turkey could take advantage of the situation in Ukraine in an “opportunistic way”:
“Turkey will only be hurt if it tries to use the situation in Ukraine in an opportunistic manner, while the world community is extremely acute in raising the issue of respect for international law and the inviolability of borders.”
His Turkish colleague reacted instantly, writing on the same social network that the Greek minister was defaming Turkey amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, adding with regret that Dendias was investing in “nonsense” so selflessly and with such labor:
While the world is focused on the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine, my friend Nikos is focused on his only hobby: defamation of Turkey under any circumstances.
A little earlier, on February 25, Ibrahim Karagul, a well-known Turkish propagandist close to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, noted on his Twitter that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine is “the first war in Europe after World War II.” He declared the lack of security for any country:
“Any country can be invaded!”.
The journalist also called on Turkey, in connection with the events, to “accumulate extraordinary power”, including becoming a nuclear power, writes IA Red Spring.
